Passion for architecture and a lifelong career in architectural design

Vern Seieroe Architectural Design

The focuses of Vern Seieroe Architectural Design are community, urban settings with a persistent environmentally conscientious approach, regardless of the type or scope of the project. Sound solutions to better living are created from the desire to bring comfort and enjoyment, an honest expression of structure and material, a preference for more natural and less manmade use of materials and setting, and a strong connection to the surrounding outdoor spaces with the building interior.

Vern Seieroe, Designer

Vern is an architectural designer who cares about his clients’ interests and needs, including family, community, cost, safety, and security. He is an architectural designer who gives as much importance to community values as he does to the cultural and historical significance of the existing environment and buildings. Vern has a compassionate eye for opportunities where a new construction might add value to the surrounding environment.

Working with clients

First and foremost, Vern prefers to carefully assess his clients’ needs, wants, and vision. He also assesses the site to understand all of the natural and manmade parameters that affect the architectural plans. The conceptual design process is an iterative process as he welcomes and utilizes the feedback from his clients regarding the design or design alternatives.

Once a concept is established, Vern will develop accurate plans and, with his clients’ review and input, establish materials and building systems to use for the construction. Following this initial phase, he will develop drawings illustrating the details of materials assembly and specifications that describe how the building’s elements and materials, both interior and exterior, will interface and work to accomplish a weatherproof and sound construction. Vern works with consultants to accomplish both accurate plans allowing for the determination of sizes, various special elements, and types of equipment required as well as the successful integration of the various systems.

“Exceptionally creative and technically astute…”

“I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with Vern on a significant, very high end, single family residential estate project. He was both exceptionally creative and technically astute, allowing us to consider a range of beautiful options, both for architectural structures and their interface with the landscape. Vern is very personable and highly professional. He is sensitive to the needs of the client and brings out the best in his design team. Vern is pleasure to work with and the outcome speaks for itself.”

“Capturing the essence of what we were looking for…”

“My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Vern over the 3-4 months we spent designing the remodel of our house.  We found Vern to be thoughtful, creative, and flexible. Best he was genuinely interested in capturing the essence of what we were looking for, and interpreting that through his years of experience to create an inspired plan.”
